March 2007
Opening on March 3rd and running through April 1st, Museo will be showing
new works from two preeminent artists.
Robert Adamson has blown glass for over 30 years. An important figure in
establishing the studio glass art movement in the northwest, he founded the
Glass Eye Studio in Seattle in 1978 and opened his own studio on Whidbey
Island in 1997. His techniques and materials closely follow forms and
methods used for centuries worldwide, as he explores sculptural directions
in contemporary art glass.

Michael Hoffman paints bold abstract and landscape works in intensely rich
colors, layering his medium on the canvas thickly and with sculptural
texture. His theme is the relationship between rigid linear form and the
loose organic forms of nature - order and disorder. The work is at once
captivating and calming.
