"When I'm assembling my mixed media pieces, I spend a lot of time imagining that I'm a handyman/craftsperson existing in a primitive place down river from here assembling the detritus from other cultures as it washes ashore- trying to make to make sense of the clues and making something new and useful from the rejected bits and pieces of another place and time."
