May 2007
Running until May 27th, Museo will exhibit new works by glass blower Robert
Hodges, paintings by Peggy Juve and mixed media monotypes by Lisa Snow Lady.
Robert
Hodges has been
blowing glass for over 30 years. He explores color relationships in
glass by utilizing an overlay
process that enables him to separate dense colored layers with clear
glass. While the hot glass is still on the blowpipe
it is immersed in cold water to create the crackle pattern which is so
strikingly featured in this show.

Peggy
Juve paints imagery full of metaphor. Scenes that evoke an almost
"Alice in Wonderland" atmosphere, are at once
profound and joyful. The familiar and the unreal come together with logic
and ambiguity. Her sense of color is unique
and used with great flare and drama in this bold and sophisticated body of
work.

Lisa Snow Lady is entranced by the aesthetic forms, colors, textures, tastes and fragrances of plants and how they delight all
the senses. In this series, monotypes often act as a background for collages of lino cuts, stamps and thin papers which
adhere to the printed impression through the pressure of the press. Each work develops it's own fresh and expressive
character. Click here to view more of 's work.
